Getting Started for Complete Beginners

How to start getting fit when you've been inactive for a while...

T he NHS recommends doing some sort of exercise activity EVERY day! Any type of activity is good for you and the more you do the better.

Adults should:

  • Aim to be physically active every day
  • Do strengthening activities that work all the major muscles
  • Do at least 150mins of moderate intensity activity a week
  • Reduce time sitting or lying down and break up long peirods of not moving
